“In fact, it turns out that they wear uniforms and spend their lives only to protect Putin's mistress. What a humiliation for the Russian Navy,” said Alexey Navalny, the leader of Russia’s off-parliament opposition and a popular blogger.

Few days have passed since the publication of the investigative report of the Project media outlet. It tells about Svetlana Krivonogikh, the “mysterious close friend” of Vladimir Putin. Since then, many reporters have not only perused the matter but also managed to dig up a lot of interesting details about her. She used to be a cleaning lady of a St. Petersburg shop. After meeting the Russian President her fortune is estimated at 7.7 bln rubles (more than $100 mln.)

Thus, the press recently found out that Svetlana Krivonogikh was enjoying Aldoga, a 40-metre luxury yacht. It is often seen in the Gulf of Finland. According to sources, this vessel built at an Italian shipyard is estimated at 0,5 bln rubles ($ 6.5 mln.) However, the most interesting thing in the story of this 2-deck mansion on the water is that not so long ago it was seen afloat accompanied by a full-fledged military escort. Namely, the newest Baltic Fleet counter-subversive boat of the Raptor project called Yunarmeets Baltiki [Young Soldier of the Baltic]. In connection with this, numerous comments have emerged on what the real reasons behind Russia's inflated military budget are. Reporters also did not forget to mention that whatever the personality of Svetlana Krivonogikh, who had rushed into the Russian information space, and however weak the arguments in favor of her relationship with the Russian President, the incident clearly demonstrated that the Commander-in-Chief was personally concerned about her security.

Alexey Navalny also commented on the incident in an interview with the “Sobesednik” [Interlocutor] weekly tabloid. He called it a “humiliation” of the Russian Navy.

“There are people in the Russian Navy who can proudly say — I serve on the Yunarmeets Baltiki, the newest counter-subversive boat of the Raptor project,” said Navalny. “But in reality it turns out that they wear uniforms and spend their lives only to protect Putin's mistress. What a humiliation for the Russian Navy.”
