Daily checks of employees' temperature, compliance with sanitary norms on the premises, and other precautionary measures are aimed at minimizing the risk of the COVID-19 infection at RNG, a Russian oil and gas company. The Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) found no violations of COVID-19 prevention requirements at the company's facilities.
Rospotrebnadzor commission said that cleaning and disinfection procedures were held at all business and personnel facilities of the company. Regular air disinfection is provided at the employees’ workplaces. Shift workers coming from other regions are isolated for two weeks before going to work. Face-to-face communication between employees keeps to a minimum.
To prevent the epidemic a number of restrictions for the employees were introduced at RNG at the end of March 2020. Soon, every worker of the company was familiarized with the regulatory guide for the personnel regarding counteraction to the virus and preventive measures in all company offices and at the production site, namely, the Eastern sector of Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas condensate field. The heads of subdivisions were obliged to monitor the observance of preventive measures and to furnish the employees with face masks and sanitizers.
In accordance with anti-epidemiological requirements, the company has organized not only production processes but also the transportation of all cargoes, the dietary regimen and off-work time regulations for workers, as well as their daily routine. As a result, it helps avoid the spread of an epidemic that swept the facilities of several production companies in the spring.
In addition, since the spring, RNG has been providing assistance to the authorities of the Mirny district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia,) Russia’s vast constituent region in northeastern Siberia. In doing so, it meets the needs of the local healthcare system during the fight against COVID-19. On many occasions, the company transferred the necessary equipment and means of protection including a set of protective suits, bedside monitors and ventilator, to the Mirny central district hospital as part of the RNG For Doctors program.
In fact, the RNG group of companies extends its social responsibility not only to its own facilities and employees but also to the entire territory of its business operations. It works closely with local authorities particularly in the sphere of support for the healthcare system.
