RNG has been providing financial support to students and teachers of the university for two years. Last year, the cost of the New Economic School to purchase its own building was partially covered by the company. As a sign of appreciation, the New Economic School (NES) management decided to rename one of the classrooms after the company.
The classroom is on the third floor and is equipped with the most modern multimedia facilities. Capacity of the classroom is 40 people and classes are held here for students of all specialties.
“We are grateful to our partners for their assistance. It is very important that business shows social responsibility and pays attention to the education sector. Your participation in NES life gives talented students from all over the country an opportunity to study with world-class professors and get fundamental knowledge in economics and finance,” said Rector of the New Economic School Anton Suvorov.
The philanthropic program between NES and RNG started two years ago. During this time 53 students from all over the country have received full and partial tuition grants and 112 more have been provided with dormitory accommodation on favorable terms. The partnership also includes the establishment of two professorship positions now held by Marta Troya Martinez and Gerhard Teves.
“The opening of the classrooms named RNG is another step in the development of the partnership between the company and the New Economic School. Today, the university trains well-versed economics experts. I believe that by contributing to their training we are investing in the future of our country,” said Vladimir Rakitin, RNG's CEO.
Moving to our own building is part of the NES development strategy until 2025. Today, 500 students are enrolled at the university, and in two years this number will double. In addition, the campus will make it possible to expand the school's educational and research activities.
