Head of Yakutia Acknowledges RNG's Contribution to Republic's Development

The RNG company was presented with a letter of appreciation and three ‘100 years of the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic’ commemorative signs. The authorities thanked the management and staff of the company for their assistance in sustainable development of the territories and improvement of the quality of life of the republic's population.

The awarding ceremony was organized as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Forum, held in Yakutsk. Kirill Bychkov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), presented commendations and distinctions to representatives of companies that have made the most significant contribution to the socio-economic potential of the region. At the plenary session, he noted the role of commercial enterprises in the development of the region.

“We must create a developing environment for our future generations. It is very important that companies understand and support this. What our republic will be like in a couple of years depends on how we invest today in their education, health, and overall development,” said Kirill Bychkov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Yakutia.

Contribution to the social and economic development of the region is one of the main priorities of RNG. The company constantly supports initiatives in the segments of ecology, education and culture, actively participates in infrastructural projects of the republic. In 2021, the enterprise was included in the top-5 list of social efficiency and responsibility to society among oil and gas companies, according to AK&M agency.

“We would like to thank the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for their trust and appreciation of our social policy. We will continue to fulfill all our obligations, actively cooperate with the local administration and responsibly conduct our production activities,” said RNG’s CEO Vladimir Rakitin.
