Gennady Zuyganov, a deputy of the State Duma and the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) in Russian parliament, also added that he had repeatedly said that the prime cost of medical face masks was from two ($0.03) to three ($0.04) rubles, while in retail sales it sometimes reached 50 rubles ($0.71.) “It is like buying ammunition from the commander before a fight,” said Zyuganov.
Gennady Zyuganov, the deputy of the State Duma and leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) faction, made a statement that fraud with medical face masks put many Russians on the verge of bare subsistence. At present, they are sold at the price of 30 ($0.42) to 50 ($0.71) rubles in Russia, while their prime cost is about two or 3 three rubles. “They went out of their mind,” said Zyuganov about those who are responsible for this situation. However, in his recent statements, Zyuganov pointed to a number of other problems that, in his opinion, might keep the demographic crisis in Russia for a long time.
In addition, according to Zyuganov, the birth rate in Russia might remain low as long as the officials create a situation where the birth of three children in a family automatically makes it poor. “My grandfather was the first teacher at a parochial school in our neighborhood,” Zyuganov said. “In front of the icons he made a vow that all his eight children would get higher education. The Soviet government helped him to do that, and, as a result, six good teachers eventually were brought up in the family. He was the only one who worked, and he could feed and educate eight children. And they felt quite comfortable at that time.”
Zyuganov also recalled that the family had had a vegetable garden, and his brothers had kept bees. He claims that today, a working man in Russia is unable to feed his family.
“Apparently, the Russians will be Robbed Blind”
“Why do young families with two children become poor? There are certain rules. A mother gives birth to a child – a future defender, worker and protector. Let's do everything so that she can safely feed him – offer him a subsistence rate and everything he needs along with healthcare system, kindergarten and so on. It's all unavailable today. If you try to take two children to a sports ground in Moscow, you should pay from 5,000 ($70.55) to 10,000 ($141.10) rubles. That's crazy, isn't it? It's completely not normal, and the whole situation has already become idiotic,” Zyuganov said emotionally.
He also added that he had repeatedly said that the prime cost of medical face masks was from two ($0.03) to three ($0.04) rubles, while in retail sales it sometimes reached 50 rubles ($0.71.) “It is like buying ammunition from the commander before a fight,” said Zyuganov.
“Have you lost your mind completely?” asked Zyuganov. “When you didn't have any face masks, you told that you didn't need any. After the Chinese sewed 20 mln masks for you, you decided to sell them along with gloves. People have to change them every two or three hours and to throw them away. I mean that one person needs from 5,000 ($70.55) to 6,000 ($84.66) rubles only to buy protective equipment. Apparently, the Russians will be robbed blind. At present, the salaries of 50 mln residents are less than 19,000 rubles ($267.90.) A total of another 30 mln people cannot earn as little as 14,000 rubles ($197.40.) How will they give birth to children under the current financial policy of the Russian authorities? This is not just inflicting damage on demographics, but it might completely destroy it.”
