Recently, American doctors have conducted a study revealing that the coronavirus infection can manifest itself even at the early stages. As the novel coronavirus infection continues spreading around the world, scientists from different countries are working day and night to develop a vaccine that will help defeat COVID-19.

The situation is complicated by the practical absence of information about the virus. Virologists, immunologists and other medical professionals have to literally study it along the way. New data on the disease appear almost every day.

Thus, recently, American doctors have conducted a study revealing that the coronavirus infection can manifest itself even at the early stages. Reportedly, the infected people’s toes change their color.

“If you don't cough and don’t have a fever but your toes are turning blue, it should be viewed as “a red flag,” says a medical study published by USA Today. “This symptom very often tells that you might have the coronavirus infection at an early stage.”

Experts note that this symptom is most often observed in young patients between seventh and the tenth day since contracting the disease. Doctors haven’t found the reason why the body responds in this way but previously, it had been associated with clogged blood vessels or an inflammatory process.

In an earlier interview with wek.ru, Oksana Tumadin, an expert in health-improving practices, named the best ways to strengthen immune system during pandemics and lockdown.
