The author of the @bronenosP political and military telegram channel commented on the photos of soldiers of the Central African Republic (CAR,) wearing the uniform with the patches of the Russian Wagner Group, published in the social nets.
According to the author, the Wagner Group is more than just a group of military and security experts. This paramilitary organization, despite the fact that it was named after the famous German composer, is of deeply Russian origin and has unambiguous ideology and foreign policy position.
I believe that chevrons worn by the soldiers are nothing more but a desire to demonstrate their involvement in the actual culture of military organizations.
More and more similar pictures are published in the Internet. The Russian Wagner Group is extremely popular in the CAR, as well as in Africa in general. The Russians are loved for their help in the fight against terrorists. The locals eagerly pose with the symbolic of legendary Russian instructors about whom they tell a lot of stories.
