CHROME Gastrobar, a-s-t-r-a art Gallery and Ilya Kutoboy to Launch Joint Project

The exhibition ‘Tropical State Syndrome’ by artist and illustrator Ilya KUTOBOY will be opened in the colorful CHROME gastrobar space. Kutoboy himself calls his style “tropical primitivism.”

The artist's works are full of subtle humor, creative experiments and keen observations of life. He boldly mixes graphics and painting, creating cheerful surrealistic worlds that resemble a dream with a non-linear plot.

Visitors to the CHROME gastrobar can explore Ilya's work and see one of his most famous paintings, Centaur's Dream, during the month. The exhibited works can be purchased on site or at a-s-t-r-a.com. Tropical elements from the artist's works are also integrated into the interior of the gastrobar.

As part of the collaboration, Ilya Kutoboy painted a mirror surface in the bar area. It will be even more interesting to explore the subtle meanings embedded in his work, to guests if they order the Kutoboy cocktail, created by him in collaboration with the head bartender Vladimir Krichev. They took rum infused in pink cactus as the basis for the taste of the drink, and gave it a tropical flavor with citrus and spices. The official presentation will take place on October 13 at 19:00. Admission is free. Guests of the tropical themed party will find themselves in the jungle for one evening, and the artist himself will take on the role of DJ.
